Cooking oil fires, because of their high auto-ignition temperatures are difficult to extinguish. Conventional extinguishers are not effective for cooking oil fires, as they do not cool sufficiently or may even cause flash back, so putting the operator at risk.
The 6 litre Fry Fighter extinguisher has been developed to deal specifically with fires resulting from cooking oils and fats. It has the capability to fight fires in deep fat fryers of up to 75 litres capacity.
It contains a specially formulated wet chemical which, when applied to the burning liquid, cools and emulsifies the oil, extinguishing the flame, sealing the surface and preventing re-ignition
Suitable for: Class F (cooking oils and fat) and Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc)
Ideal For: deep fat fires in kitchens
